Telecommunication networks are complicated. The data is more often than not stored in spreadsheet tables which are passed down to the technicians in an unfiltered manner. This app filters the data and gives the technician a clear overview as well as exactly the data which they require at any given moment. This not only reduces learning time but also preparation time, patching time, cognitive mental strain on the technician, and margin of human error.

Process

• conducted user research by following technicians during patch assignments to gain insight in the needs and problems they face

• developed concepts and scenarios

• developed working prototypes

• designed the user experience and user interface

• conducted usability testing
