Helping consumers install their modem through Augmented reality
Installing a modem can sometimes be difficult as it requires basic knowledge on how the system works. Manuals can be confusing to follow as they are generalized and give too many options to the user.
Together with KPN we developed a Augmented Reality manual that can easily be accessed through a QR code on the modem. This way the app guides you in real-time through the steps necessary to install your modem. Adapting your situation and giving you only the information you need.
Process
heuristic analysis of the current manuals to identify problems and pain-points
conducted usability testing and interviewed first time users and technicians to further asses the usability and touchpoints
developed concepts and introduced the AR functionality
Designed the UX, user flows & storyboards
Built and tested the prototypes
Created the UI to pixel perfect designs
collaborated with the programmers that developed the app
